Art Therapy

Art Therapy Counselling uses the creative process of art making to improve a person's mental health and emotional well-being. Art Therapists are trained in use the of various creative arts materials to assist client's in expressing their thoughts, feelings and experiences. The use of art in this way provides the client with a safe space to express and explore their concerns without the pressure of having to find the right words to describe how they are feeling.

 

Art Making may include...

Drawing

To capture an image, re-create an experience, or map out thoughts.

 

Drawing with lead or coloured pencils is a concrete way to create. Pencil can be layered, blended, texturized, softened, darkened and even erased.
